 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  38 abductees in Eruku regained freedom.


The 38 abductees in Eruku,Ekiti local government Area of Kwara State have regained freedom.


In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, the abducted persons regained their freedom after many days of hard work by security forces and government representatives.


Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq through the statement commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR ,who has personally led the efforts by sending in more security personnels.


According to the statement, the abductees were freed today, November 23,2025.


The governor also expresses appreciation to the office of the National Security Adviser,the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Intelligence Agency and the Nigeria Police which has graciously deployed for new tactical teams to Kwara State on the directive of the president.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
