A COLORADO FAMILY IS FACING A BLEAK HOLIDAY SEASON AFTER A FATHER AND THREE CHILDREN LOST THEIR LIVES WHEN A DRIVER IN A STOLEN CAR STRUCK THEM HEAD ON.(PHOTO).

A Colorado family is facing a bleak holiday season after a father and three children lost their lives when a driver in a stolen car struck them head on.

This truly tragic incident occurred on Highway 83 near Franktown, Colorado, around 4:40p.m. on Monday, November 24th.

On that date, 35-year-old, Alvin Corado was driving along Highway 83 with his 3 children and two of his girlfriend's children in his Ford Fusion.

Sadly, Alvin had no way to know he was on a collision course that would take not only his life, but the lives of two of his children and one of his girlfriends kids, and leave the other two fighting for their lives.

The catalyst for this heartbreaking event was a black Toyota Matrix being operated by a 31-year-old man who had stolen the vehicle in a car jacking an hour before the fatal crash.

According to reports, the Toyota was driving in the southbound lane when the vehicle went off the roadway onto the shoulder of the road. The 31-year-old driver jerked the wheel, causing the vehicle to overcorrect. This sent the Toyota into the northbound lane where it struck the Ford Fusion head-on.

The 31-year-old male operating the stolen vehicle was ejected through the windshield and passed away at the scene.

Sadly, four of the innocent occupants of the Ford Fusion would lose their lives as a result of one man's recklessness in a stolen vehicle.

The driver, 35-year-old Alvin Corado, his 8-year-old son Toretto Corado, and 12-year-old Daughter Makenlee Corado would be pronounced deceased on scene. 12-year-old Jase Green, the son of Alvin's girlfriend, was also pronounced deceased on scene.

Two teens identified as 13-year-old Mia Corado and 14-year-old Jordan Green were airlifted to the Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, where they continue to fight for their lives.

This is such a heartbreaking story anytime of the year. However, the prospect of two families coping with such a senseless loss during the holidays adds to the hurt of an already tragic story.

Please stay safe out there.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims and also with young Mia and Jordan as they recover.
