A HEARTBREAKING AND DEVELOPING STORY OUT OF TEXAS WHERE A DAD SACRIFICED EVERYTHING AND STILL LOST.(PHOTO).

A heartbreaking and developing story out of Texas where a dad sacrificed everything and still lost.

Two unidentified Texas children have lost their lives, and their father is still missing after attempting to rescue his child.

A search is ongoing in San Jacinto, Texas, after a capsized kayak has left two families devastated.

Authorities in Polk County, Texas, were called to the Trinity River on the evening of Sunday, November 9th, for a river rescue.

According to reports, two teens (aged 14 and 15) were kayaking "in choppy waters" when their kayak overturned.

At this point, a 53-year-old man entered the water after seeing his son and his son's friend in trouble on the  water.

Sadly, after initially entering the water, the father never resurfaced.

First responders were able to locate and recover the bodies of the two teens later in the evening. However, the search for the father was suspended until 7 a.m. Monday morning.

There have been no reports on whether or not the father has been recovered at this point.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in this unimaginable tragedy.
