ZIMBABWEAN COUPLE DEPORTED OVER SECRET BURIAL OF CHILD IN BOTSWANA A Zimbabwean couple has been deported from Botswana after secretly burying their child without notifying authorities. Motilinah Mpofu and Christopher Ncube were convicted on Thursday of concealing a death after they allegedly dug a grave for their child in the dead of night. The Gaborone court heard the child had died suddenly. Instead of reporting the death to police, health officials, or traditional leaders, the couple quietly buried the youngster and hoped no one would find out. But the secret did not stay buried for long.   Police moved in and arrested the pair. In sentencing, the court ordered that the couple be taken to the Plumtree Border Post for deportation to Zimbabwe.  Top Botswana lawyer Winnie Masitha who offered the couple free legal representation during the trial, confirmed the deportation to BTV News.  Actress Nkechi Blessing berates her UK-based talking stage for failing to offer assistance after she told him her tyre had burst

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has sparked a fresh conversation about dating standards after sharing a recent experience that left her unimpressed.

According to her, she had been chatting with a man in the UK when she suddenly went silent because she had a minor car accident that damaged her tyres. When the man checked in, she explained, “sorry I had a minor accident and I need to get two new tyres for my car.”

He simply replied, “sorry about that babe, hope you were not hurt,” and wrapped the chat with a short “ok.”

Nkechi said his response immediately put her off because, in her view, any man looking to build something serious should offer help — at least ask, *“How much is the tyre? Let me buy it for you,”* even if she didn’t actually need the money. Instead, he told her, “oh sorry just get it sorted out,” and left it there.

She eventually bought the tyres herself. Hours later, he returned, saying he had been in a long meeting and asked whether she had fixed them. She replied, “of course I got two brand new tyres,” and ended the conversation.

Nkechi then compared him to a male friend in Abuja, whom she described as a “perfect gentleman.” She said when she mentioned she had a gig in Abuja, he immediately told her to get a hotel and let him handle the cost. When she offered to sort it herself, he insisted, “no, I got this.” She noted that he wasn’t trying to impress her — he was simply being thoughtful.

According to her, it’s not about depending on a man financially, but about showing care and initiative. She said that if a man cannot demonstrate that he is capable of taking care of her in moments that matter, then she has no interest in pursuing anything with him.

The actress added that she is currently single and “testing the waters,” with multiple talking stages still ongoing.
