The Actors Guild of Nigeria president, Emeka Rollas, together with the Directors Guild of Nigeria and the Association of Movie Producers, has suspended actor Taye Arimoro after reviewing the altercation between him and Peggy Ovire on Peggy's movie set.
The guilds say that they found Arimoro to be the primary aggr€ssor, for assaulting crew members and sharing a misleading live video which had earlier implicated Peggy Ovire wrongly.
He is now suspended from all Nollywood productions until further notice, and while at it, he is expected to tender a public apology to the set production manager, Peggy Ovire and the director, as well as release a corrective video.
He is also required to return to the said set and complete his remaining scenes of the movie, but under supervision.
Although Peggy Ovire wasn’t involved in the initial altercation, the guilds noted that her emotional reaction at the estate gate added to the tension, therefore, she must submit formal apology letters, apologise to the estate management and sign an undertaking on better personnel management for future productions.
