McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace.  Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State Urges Candidates who contested in the last Election to Rally Behind Soludo to transform Anambra


Leadership of the Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State (ANISA/ANIAS) has appealed to candidates of other parties in the just concluded governorship election in Anambra state to join hands with Gov Chukwuma Soludo to move the State forward.


President of the group, Chief Amb. Great Ugwuoke who made the appeal in a statement on Sunday said such move would be to the best interest of the state.


“It would be in the best interest of Ndi-Anambra and residents alike if all the candidates of other political parties in guber race accept the election results in good faith and join forces with Prof Soludo in his transformational leadership.


While congratulating Soludo over his landslide victory at the poll, Ugwuoke described large turn out of voters across the State as clear testament that security situation in the state had improved tremendously.


The group also applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and media practitioners for carrying out their respective constitutional responsibilities effectively during the election.


The leadership of ANISA and ANIAS further commended its members for being responsible citizens, urging them to continue to be law abiding.
