 Press Release: Every Hisbah Officer Is a Peace and Security Ambassador in His Community. Kano State Governor Alh.Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the determination of his administration to ensure security and peace  for the protection of lives and property across the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Sani Auwal, made the commitment during a stakeholders meeting on the contribution of shari'a sector institutions toward promoting peace and security in Kano State. The meeting was organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board and held at the Coronation hall Government House, Kano. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged the Hisbah Board to focus more on providing intelligence reports to conventional security agencies, rather than limiting efforts to moral enforcement alone.  Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State Urges Candidates who contested in the last Election to Rally Behind Soludo to transform Anambra


Leadership of the Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State (ANISA/ANIAS) has appealed to candidates of other parties in the just concluded governorship election in Anambra state to join hands with Gov Chukwuma Soludo to move the State forward.


President of the group, Chief Amb. Great Ugwuoke who made the appeal in a statement on Sunday said such move would be to the best interest of the state.


“It would be in the best interest of Ndi-Anambra and residents alike if all the candidates of other political parties in guber race accept the election results in good faith and join forces with Prof Soludo in his transformational leadership.


While congratulating Soludo over his landslide victory at the poll, Ugwuoke described large turn out of voters across the State as clear testament that security situation in the state had improved tremendously.


The group also applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and media practitioners for carrying out their respective constitutional responsibilities effectively during the election.


The leadership of ANISA and ANIAS further commended its members for being responsible citizens, urging them to continue to be law abiding.
