 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Ex-Grizzlies star Tony Allen faces drug-related arrest in Arkansas 

Former Memphis Grizzlies star Tony Allen has been arrested in Arkansas on drug-related charges, according to local authorities.

The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Allen faces two charges of drug possession—one felony and one misdemeanor—and is being held without bond. The arrest occurred after a traffic stop about 50 miles from Memphis, when the vehicle Allen was riding in was pulled over for an improper lane change. Officials say Allen was found with a bag of marijuana, and deputies reportedly discovered cocaine in a cigarette box during a search of the car.

Allen, 43, spent the bulk of his NBA career with the Memphis Grizzlies from 2011 to 2017 and also played for the Boston Celtics and New Orleans Pelicans. He is widely regarded as one of the league’s top defensive players, and the Grizzlies retired his jersey in March.

This is not Allen’s first legal issue. In 2023, he pled guilty in a federal case involving an NBA health insurance and fraud scheme and was sentenced to community service and three years of supervised probation.
