Fans clash over Tiwa Savage’s no-filter Snapchat video

Social media was set ablaze on Sunday after Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage shared a no-filter video of herself on Snapchat, showing her bare face.

The 45-year-old Afrobeats star, who has one son, appeared without makeup in the clip, and as usual, fans on X (formerly Twitter) had plenty to say.

While some defended her natural look, others wasted no time criticizing her appearance. One user claimed, “The person who did the microblading did a bad job.” Another wrote, “This must be after a micro-needling session, that’s why her face is reddish. It’s painful, so that’s not her real skin color.”

But not everyone joined the mockery. One angry fan fired back, saying, “Wetin be this nonsense? You dey show woman wey don pass 40 like say you just catch alien. She be human being, no be android.”

Another X user added, “Wetin exactly you dey try prove, say person wey don live life small suppose still look like teenager? Abeg, grow up.”

Still, some others shared unsolicited beauty advice, insisting she could “get back clear skin” by changing her diet and using “coconut oil and electrolytes.”

Not all comments were kind, though. One troll quipped, “Na now una go understand why she said she doesn’t mind being a second wife. Age is not just a number oh!”
