 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Fourth death reported at Walt Disney World in one month

Another death has been reported at Walt Disney World, marking the fourth fatality on the property in the past month.

According to Florida’s Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a woman in her 40s was taken to Celebration Hospital on Sunday, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities say there are no signs of foul play.

This follows three previous deaths at Walt Disney World in recent weeks. On October 14, a 31-year-old woman died by suicide at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. About a week later, a man in his 60s suffered a medical episode and died at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Most recently, a 28-year-old man, Matthew Cohn, died by suicide at the Contemporary Resort.

Separate from Florida, Disneyland in California also reported a death earlier this month when a woman in her 60s was found unresponsive on the Haunted Mansion ride on October 8 and later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Disney has not issued a public comment regarding the latest incident.
