  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  FRESH OUTRAGE IN AMADU, LAST NIGHT ATTACK SPARKS QUESTIONS AFTER PEACE PACT

The aftermath of last night’s attack on Amadu main town has left residents shaken and angry. Many are now questioning why such violence continues even after a peace agreement was reached at the palace of the Chief of Takum.


Despite the commitment to let peace reign, armed Fulani attackers reportedly crossed in from the Takum axis and struck again. The incident has raised deep concerns and renewed frustration within the community.


For many locals, it feels like a betrayal of the peace process and a troubling sign that the violence is far from over.
