 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI SETS  TO PRESENT 2026 BUDGET TO ABIA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY


The Abia State Government wishes to inform the general public, stakeholders, development partners, and the media that His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, will formally present the 2026 Budget Proposal to the Abia State House of Assembly today, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 2:00pm.


This year’s budget presentation comes at a defining moment in our state’s development journey. With the ongoing massive infrastructural transformation across all sectors: roads, healthcare, education, urban renewal, and digital governance, Abians can look forward to a forward-looking and strategic budget designed to consolidate the gains of the past 30 months.


The 2026 Budget is expected to reflect the administration’s unwavering commitment to rebuilding Abia, strengthening the economic base of the state, and accelerating capital projects that will deliver sustainable growth and improved quality of life for all citizens.


Abians are therefore encouraged to follow the proceedings through accredited media channels as we collectively witness yet another milestone in the New Abia agenda under Governor Otti’s visionary leadership.
