 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI SETS  TO PRESENT 2026 BUDGET TO ABIA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY


The Abia State Government wishes to inform the general public, stakeholders, development partners, and the media that His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, will formally present the 2026 Budget Proposal to the Abia State House of Assembly today, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 2:00pm.


This year’s budget presentation comes at a defining moment in our state’s development journey. With the ongoing massive infrastructural transformation across all sectors: roads, healthcare, education, urban renewal, and digital governance, Abians can look forward to a forward-looking and strategic budget designed to consolidate the gains of the past 30 months.


The 2026 Budget is expected to reflect the administration’s unwavering commitment to rebuilding Abia, strengthening the economic base of the state, and accelerating capital projects that will deliver sustainable growth and improved quality of life for all citizens.
