 ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS 26-YEAR-OLD MALE SUSPECT OVER MURDER OF GIRLFRIEND, A SINGLE MOTHER IN EKWULOBIA  The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 26-year old male suspect, Anikpe Valentine Chibuike, in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, Ogechukwu Mmadubugwu, a 35-year old single mother in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of the State. The arrest was carried out by operatives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Awka, on 7th January 2026. The Command has debunked claims circulating that the crime was committed by persons the suspect owed money, describing such reports as false and misleading. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to stabbing the victim in the neck with a knife, an act that led to her death. The incident reportedly occurred at about 12.00 midnight on 9th December 2025. According to the suspect’s confession, the act was allegedly committed over suspicion of infidelity. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS 26YEARS AGO SINCE THE LORD CALLED MY INCREDIBLE MOTHER HOME- PATTI BOULAYE. (PHOTO).

 "A mother like no other. I cannot believe it is 26years ago since the Lord called my incredible mother home. I was her seventh child. She gave birth to nine children, only eight survived to adulthood. 

My mother was a fearless amazon and a prayer warrior. Her faith was immovable. Prayer was her weapon. She was blessed with wisdom, which is something I pray for each day. 

As my husband Stephen said today: “it cannot possibly 26yrs. Her presence is so vivid and powerful.” 

Not only was I aware that she would have taken the bullet for me and any of her children, she instilled a love for God in all her children. That has been her greatest legacy and gift to us her children, because we know that the Lord is our Shepherd there is nothing we shall want. Also, I know that if the Lord is with me whom shall fear? Nobody. I have witnessed the Lord fight her battles during my childhood, so I totally trust the Lord to do the same for me. 

Mummy told me to love all of mankind, because a woman is a natural mother, not just to her own children, but to all of mankind. At first I thought it was a big ask, but now I realise she was right, it comes naturally.


I learned from her not to be judgmental  because I am not perfect, but to leave the judgement or demise of any enemies to God.


For a woman who taught herself to read just so she can read the Bible, the greatest testimony to her faith is the achievement of her sons and daughters: a properly developer, an Aeronautic Engineer,  a Pilot, a Laureate of the Sorbonne University Paris and a Pharmacologist, an Industrial Chemist, a TV Political Pundit and a Business Analyst, a Doctor in the US Army and a Singer. It can only be God.

The world needs more women and mothers like you

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
