 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  "I will rather quit the military than get involved in the invasion of Nigeria"


Opeyemi David Falegan of the ODF foundation, a well known Ekiti State man, serving in the United Nations peacekeeping missions has vowed to resign rather than obey Trump’s order to fight in Nigeria, saying that he would rather quit the military than fight in Nigeria.


The soldier shared his statement on Facebook, explaining that he would not follow any orders, even those of the UN that ask him to fight in Nigeria, emphasizing on rather leaving the military than obey any instruction of invasion against his country.


The post as seen on his page reads;

Imagine been ordered to wage war in  ur home country, I will rather quit the military than fight in my home country, even though terr0rist is the target, I might f!ght for my home country to conquer band!t and terr0rism
