 LAWMA Waste, Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement operatives on night duty have apprehended two environmental offenders along the Jibowu and Ojota corridors of Ikorodu Road for engaging in illegal waste collection and indiscriminate disposal of refuse at unauthorized locations. The suspects, were arrested during routine surveillance operations after being found carrying out activities that constitute environmental nuisance and undermine approved waste management processes, despite repeated warnings and sensitization efforts. The offenders are being transferred to the Oshodi Task Force Office for prosecution through the Mobile Court in accordance with the environmental protection laws of Lagos State. LAWMA reiterates that illegal waste collection and indiscriminate dumping remain punishable offences.  Jessica Simpson marks eight years sober

Singer, actress, and reality TV star Jessica Simpson is marking eight years of sobriety this weekend.

On Instagram Saturday, Simpson, 45, reflected on the milestone, writing that eight years ago she made the decision to confront and let go of the self-sabotaging habits in her life. She said choosing sobriety allowed her to fully embrace what she describes as God’s purpose for her life, noting that alcohol had previously clouded her intuition and blocked her dreams.

“Both fear and faith are something that we feel and may not see,” Simpson wrote. “I’m so happy I chose faith over fear. It was not in the fight that I found my strength, it was in the surrender.” She is also the author of the 2020 memoir Open Book.
