 Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump. Kogi CP Visits Derailed Train Site At Adogo; Orders Deployment Of Personnel To Protect Stranded Passengers


Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has reaffirmed the Command's readiness to safeguard the lives and property in the State.


He stated this while conducting an on‑the‑spot assessment of the derailed train at Adogo, Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi State.

Cp Kankarofi who met with the Nigerian Railway Corporation management and stranded passengers at the site, describes the incident as unfortunate. He ordered immediate deployment of security personnel to safeguard the people and facilities while monitoring the evacuation of all passengers to Ajaokuta station.

A statement by the Commands Public Relations Officer, CSP William Aya says the CP at the site also deployed additional security to secure the derailed coaches, expressing his determination to work in synergy with other security agencies to protect lives and property across the State.
