 The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), yesterday, sealed off some buildings/properties across the state over different environmental infractions. They are; * A property on 34, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain causing offensive odour and sewage flowing in the community, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A block of Shops along Powerline Road, Meiran, Alimosho, for the illegal construction and operation of unsanitary toilet facility on a road setback without a permit, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A three-storey building at 38, Adeniji Adele Street, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain. * A building at H29, House of Jesus Street, Langbasa, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, for the deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drains. Kogi CP Visits Derailed Train Site At Adogo; Orders Deployment Of Personnel To Protect Stranded Passengers


Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has reaffirmed the Command's readiness to safeguard the lives and property in the State.


He stated this while conducting an on‑the‑spot assessment of the derailed train at Adogo, Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi State.

Cp Kankarofi who met with the Nigerian Railway Corporation management and stranded passengers at the site, describes the incident as unfortunate. He ordered immediate deployment of security personnel to safeguard the people and facilities while monitoring the evacuation of all passengers to Ajaokuta station.

A statement by the Commands Public Relations Officer, CSP William Aya says the CP at the site also deployed additional security to secure the derailed coaches, expressing his determination to work in synergy with other security agencies to protect lives and property across the State.
