 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  La La Anthony set to host inaugural TikTok Awards ceremony

Actress and television personality La La Anthony will host the inaugural TikTok Awards ceremony.

The event is scheduled for Dec. 18 at the Hollywood Palladium and will stream live on TikTok, with a broadcast on Tubi the following day.

Presenters at the ceremony will include Paris Hilton, Bethenny Frankel, Micky Gordon, Josh Richards, Jordan Chiles, Jools Lebron, and Trixie Mattel.

Fans can vote through Dec. 2 for their favorite TikTok creators in categories such as Creator of the Year, Storyteller of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, TikTok for Good Award, MVP of the Year, Muse of the Year, and My Show is On Award.
