 Pixar announces new Finding Nemo short film, Loving Dory  Pixar is returning to the “Finding Nemo” universe with a new short film titled “Loving Dory,” continuing the franchise after its two films grossed roughly $2 billion worldwide. The short was announced at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where Pixar also revealed plot details and screened early footage. Produced by Mary Alice Drumm and directed by Lou Hamou-Lhadj, the story follows Dory as she takes Nemo to school. On her way back, she becomes trapped in a sea anemone and is rescued by what she believes is a jellyfish, which is actually a plastic bag containing a discarded sunscreen tube. Dory then forms an unexpected friendship with the object, with the footage showing a series of whimsical, emotional moments between the pair.  Miley Cyrus drops Dream as One for Avatar 3 

Miley Cyrus has released a new song for the upcoming third installment of the Avatar franchise ahead of its Dec. 19 theater debut. The 32-year-old singer dropped “Dream as One” on Friday, which will feature on the soundtrack for Avatar: Fire and Ash, starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana.

Cyrus shared a snippet of the lyrics on Instagram, writing, “‘Even through the flames. Even through the ashes in the sky. When we dream, we dream as one.’ Writing this song with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt came straight from the heart. Every lyric remembers where we’ve been, reflects where we are, and holds hope for what’s ahead for all of us.” She described the project as “an honor to create something so personal for a film that connects so deeply with people around the world.” Directed by James Cameron, with a script co-written with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, the film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, Duane Evans Jr., and Kate Winslet. A two-part special, Fire and Water: The Making of Avatar, premiered on Nov. 7. The original Avatar was released in 2009, followed by The Way of Water in 2022.
