McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace.  Min of Foreign Affairs Meets UK Foreign Secretary to Boost Bilateral Ties


Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs,  Yusuf Tuggar held a  high-level talks with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper in London.


The Meeting, Yusuf Tuggar said, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries united by historical ties, shared democratic principles, and a mutual vision for greater security and prosperity.


The meeting at the Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development Office focused on actionable steps to enhance collaboration in critical sectors, including trade and investment, security, education, migration, energy transition, and climate action.


Discussions reviewed advances in existing partnerships while exploring fresh avenues to link innovation with real-world outcomes—from increased UK investment in Nigeria's technology and creative industries to coordinated initiatives on renewable energy and regional stability.
