 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  National Youth Council of Nigeria (Anambra Chapter) Appoints New Acting Chairman


The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has appointed Comrade Godwin Ugochukwu Okoye as the Acting Chairman of its Anambra State Chapter.


National Executive Council (NEC) of the NYCN made the announcement via a statement made available to journalists on Saturday.


According to the statement, the appointment was made in accordance with the provisions of the NYCN Constitution (2018, amended 2025), with the NEC appointing Comrade Okoye as the Acting Chairman of the Anambra State Chapter.


The development follows the suspension of former State Chairman, Comrade Emeka Obi, over alleged acts of insubordination and executive misconduct.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
