 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state. NFF apologises to Tinubu, Nigerians for failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup


The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has tendered a heartfelt apology to President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian citizens following the Super Eagles’ Sunday defeat and disqualification in the World Cup Qualifiers Playoff against DR Congo. 


DR Congo came back from a goal down to beat Nigeria 4-3 on penalties in a tightly-contested African play-offs final on Sunday, November 16, to pick Africa’s sole ticket for the intercontinental play-offs billed for March next year.


In a statement shared on X, NFF described the defeat as a moment of profound sadness for Nigerian football.  But vowed to reclaim Nigeria’s standing on the global stage.
