 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are exploring areas of collaboration that will attract investment in clean energy as the world adopts energy transition master plan to reduce emission.


Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi engages Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy and Climate change, Abdulaziz bin Salman on the sideline of COP30 in Brazil where both Countries discuss how to accelerate implementation of clean energy while harnessing natural resources for sustainable growth that is focused on energy development for the benefit of its people while protecting the planet 


At a separate engagement, the DG of the Energy Commission of Nigeria delivers a keynote address on the commitment of the federal government towards achieving smarter, energy efficient cooling transition that is aligned with global climate goals


The engagement explores practical solutions to expand access to cooling while minimising environmental impact.


The discussion focuses on the role of minimum energy performance standards and modern cooling technologies in reducing emissions across emerging economies. The DG of Energy Commission of Nigeria presents Nigeria's readiness to harmonise standards.
