 Anambra HOS Visits Ministry of Women Affairs Again, Warns On Absenteeism, Insurbordination By Stella Anekwe The Anambra State Head of Service, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno Esq.,mni, on April 29, visited the Ministry of Women Affairs , 29 days after her first visit, warning workers of absenteeism and insurbordination. She frowned at the lack of respect and insubordination witnessed among the staff against the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, warning that if such is reported again, she would post out all the staff. She reminded the workers at the ministry of Women Affairs that the ministry is the gateway of the grassroots to the civil service hence, the workers should be puntual and service oriented always. She said that with the 216 lawyers in the Ministry of Justice that the civil service has enough lawyers for litigation against those flagrantly disobeying the civil service rules and code of service.  NIS Confirms Deadly Attack on Bakin Ruwa Checkpoint in Kebbi


The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) @nigimmigration has confirmed that unidentified gunmen attacked its Bakin Ruwa Checkpoint, under the Tuga Border Patrol Formation in #Kebbi State, on Thursday night.


According to a statement issued by the Service Public Relations Officer, Akinsola Akinlabi, the assault occurred around 10:00 p.m., resulting in the deaths of three immigration personnel. Operational assets and facilities at the checkpoint were also destroyed during the incident.


The Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nandap, has directed an immediate tactical response.


 Measures include the deployment of reinforcements, intensified joint operations with sister security agencies, enhanced intelligence gathering along the Tuga axis, and increased patrols in the area.


The NIS called on members of the public to remain calm and continue providing useful information to security agencies as efforts to secure the border corridor are stepped up.
