 A female secondary school student, of St. Micheals model secondary school, was caught at Onishta GSM market stéaling phones.  Traders in the particular plaza where she støle the phones caught her and threatened to beat her up if she doesn't confess and tell them how many times she has come to the plaza to steal phones. The secondary school student said her name is Chimuanya Nweke from Ebonyi state and she sells akpu in the market on Saturdays. She also said she lives with her parents in okpoko but they chased her out of the house and she has not been attending school because her parents did not pay the school fees. The girl also said that she came to the plaza to ste@l on Friday but the owner of the shop where she wanted to steal from was around so she could not carry out her plan, she also confessed that this was not the first time she has stol£n phones from the plaza.  PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES EX-KANO GOVERNOR, IBRAHIM SHEKARAU, ON 70TH BIRTHDAY


President Bola Tinubu congratulates former governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, on his recent 70th birthday.

 

A statement by Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, says President Tinubu hails Shekarau's consummate public service career, rising from classroom teacher to the position of permanent secretary in Kano State Civil Service, before venturing into politics in the early 2000s.

It adds, President Tinubu recalls Shekarau's phenomenal election as Kano State governor in 2003 and his human-centred approach to governance in the two terms he served as the governor.

 

Shekarau was later to serve as Minister of Education (2014-2015) and as Senator representing the Kano Central constituency (2019-2023).

 

President Tinubu thanks Senator Shekarau for his years of service to the country, as an educator, administrator, and politician.

President Tinubu prayed  Allah to keep the former Kano governor in good health, so that he might continue serving his people and Nigeria.
