 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. PRIME SUSPECT IN THE FRSC OFFICER AND DAUGHTER'S MURDER HAS BEEN ARRESTED IN GHANA


The herbalist whom earlier was being tracked as the prime suspect in the murder of SRC Lasisi and her daughter Sewa, was apprehended by the police.

However, he made some confessions during interrogation which revealed the actual prime suspect of the crime, one Mr Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun who was a friend of the deceased FRSC officer.


According to the herbalist, Victor brought Lasisi and Sewa to the herbalist's house in Osun State and proceeded to k!ll them for r!tual purposes with the help of his friends.


The police following this revelation, declared Mr. Victor wanted immediately.


Current report now has it that Mr. Victor who fled Nigeria to Ghana, has been arrested by the Ghanaian police after they tracked him using a viral video detailing his alleged cr!mes.

 

Victor remains in Ghanaian custody as arrangements are underway to hand him over to the Nigerian authorities.
