 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  Ryan Seacrest’s father dies at 81

Ryan Seacrest has shared the sad news that his father, Gary Lee Seacrest, has passed away at the age of 81 after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Seacrest announced the news on Instagram, saying his father “peacefully passed away earlier this week” and expressing comfort in knowing “he is in a better place and free of any pain or suffering.” He included family photos and concluded his message with a heartfelt tribute: “Dad, you will live in our hearts forever. I love you.”

Earlier this year, Ryan had spoken publicly about his father’s private struggle with prostate cancer, recalling how difficult the journey was and sharing the moment he learned during an “American Idol” episode that his dad was in the ICU, leading to a critical conversation with doctors about his condition.

Gary Seacrest is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie Zullinger, their son Ryan, daughter Meredith Seacrest, her husband Jimmy Leach, and their daughter Flora Leach.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
