 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Uncle and Grandmother Arrested for Allegedly Poisoning Relative in Lemondokop Village


Police in Limpopo have arrested two suspects, aged 38 and 82, in connection with the murder of their 30-year-old male relative who was allegedly poisoned at Lemondokop Village on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.  


According to preliminary reports, the deceased had complained of severe stomach pains and dizziness before losing consciousness. He was declared dead inside an ambulance while being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.  


Community members, dissatisfied with the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, reported their suspicions to the police on Friday, 31 October 2025. An inquest case was initially opened while detectives launched a thorough investigation.  


Investigations later revealed that the deceased’s uncle and grandmother were allegedly responsible for poisoning him. Both suspects were traced and arrested. The inquest docket has since been converted to a murder case, and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.  


The suspects are expected to appear before the Kgapane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 04 November 2025, facing charges of murder.
