 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  Uncle and Grandmother Arrested for Allegedly Poisoning Relative in Lemondokop Village


Police in Limpopo have arrested two suspects, aged 38 and 82, in connection with the murder of their 30-year-old male relative who was allegedly poisoned at Lemondokop Village on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.  


According to preliminary reports, the deceased had complained of severe stomach pains and dizziness before losing consciousness. He was declared dead inside an ambulance while being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.  


Community members, dissatisfied with the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, reported their suspicions to the police on Friday, 31 October 2025. An inquest case was initially opened while detectives launched a thorough investigation.  


Investigations later revealed that the deceased’s uncle and grandmother were allegedly responsible for poisoning him. Both suspects were traced and arrested. The inquest docket has since been converted to a murder case, and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.  


The suspects are expected to appear before the Kgapane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 04 November 2025, facing charges of murder.
