 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  SERVICE CHIEFS REAFFIRM UNITY OF PURPOSE IN STRENGTHENING NATIONAL SECURITY


In a display of cohesive leadership and shared commitment, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on 10 November 2025, joined the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Olufemi Oluyede and other Service Chiefs on an official visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle. The high-level engagement served as a strategic platform to brief the Minister on ongoing military operations across the country and to deliberate on measures to enhance inter-service collaboration, intelligence sharing, and joint operational effectiveness in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.


The Honourable Minister commended the Armed Forces for their professionalism and sustained efforts in safeguarding the nation, assuring them of the Ministry’s continued support through resource provision and policy guidance. In response, the Service Chiefs reaffirmed their collective resolve to defend Nigeria’s territorial integrity and ensure enduring peace and stability. The Chief of the Air Staff particularly reiterated the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to sustaining air superiority and providing decisive support to joint operations across all theatres.
