 Carrick favourite for Man Utd caretaker role Michael Carrick has emerged as favourite to be appointed Manchester United caretaker head coach, according to sources close to the process. Club chiefs are hoping to have an appointment in place for when players return to training on Wednesday. While a final decision is yet to be reached, talks are said to have progressed with the 44-year-old over the position. Carrick previously had a three-game stint as United's temporary boss following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021. He won two and drew one of those matches but left after Ralf Rangnick's arrival as interim manager. Solskjaer held face-to-face discussions with the club on Saturday about a return. United sacked Ruben Amorim as manager after 14 months in the job on 5 January.  “Some men are very foolish!” — Actress Etinosa Idemudia slams men who forcefully reconcile with their wives


Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has sparked reactions online after sharing a strongly worded post on her Instagram story.


In the post, the actress called out men who use “oppression” to force their wives back into marriage, questioning how they manage to live peacefully under the same roof afterward.


She wrote:


“Some men are very foolish!! After using oppression to forcefully bring your wife back to the house, will you be comfortable sleeping in that house and eating that same woman's food? Marriage should not be by force. No means No and that should apply to other things being gRape!”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
