 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.  ‎ Speaker Abbas Leads House Delegation To 8th China International Import Expo

‎Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen is leading a high-level delegation of the House to the 8th China International Import Expo. 

‎

‎A statement signed by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker Musa Krishi indicates that the visit followed an invitation extended to the Speaker by the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria to deliver a 5-minute goodwill message at the Expo. 

‎

‎Thereafter, the Speaker will hold a bilateral meeting with the Premier of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Li Qiang, where he will highlight key areas of collaboration between Nigeria and China, including parliamentary cooperation. 

‎

‎Speaker Abbas will also participate in the Africa-China Economic and Cultural Forum.
