 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  Teenage Girl Arrested for Pouring Hot Water on Woman During Jealous Rage in Denstaat Village 


A 17-year-old girl is expected to appear before the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 10 November 2025, facing a charge of attempted murder after she allegedly poured hot water on a 20-year-old woman and hit her with a bottle.


The incident occurred on Friday, 07 November 2025, at around 21:00 in Denstaat village under the Alldays policing area in the Capricorn District.


According to reports, the victim was asleep when the suspect woke her up and confronted her about photographs she allegedly found on her boyfriend’s cellphone. During the argument, the suspect allegedly poured hot water over the victim and struck her several times on the head and face with a bottle.


The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police were called to the scene and opened a case of attempted murder. The suspect was arrested shortly thereafter.
