 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  The Time musician Jellybean Johnson dies at 69

Garry “Jellybean” Johnson, best known as the drummer and founding member of Prince’s band The Time, has died at the age of 69. His family confirmed he passed away suddenly on Friday night; the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Johnson, a key figure in the Minneapolis Sound—a blend of funk, rock, and soul that emerged in the 1970s and 80s—also played with the Prince-formed group The Family. He appeared as a fictionalized version of himself in the 1984 film Purple Rain and co-produced Janet Jackson’s 1990 No. 1 hit single “Black Cat.” Fellow musician Susannah Melvoin, who worked closely with him, remembered him as a prolific guitarist, saying that playing music was like breathing for him.

Beyond his performance career, Johnson was passionate about preserving musical history. Alongside his long-term partner Marty Bragg and her daughter, he co-founded the Minneapolis Sound Museum, dedicated to celebrating and preserving the legacy of the Minneapolis Sound. Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
