 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Trump pardons billionaire Joe Lewis, former Tottenham owner

President Donald Trump has granted a pardon to billionaire Joe Lewis, whose family holds a majority stake in the English soccer club Tottenham Hotspur.

Lewis, 88, pleaded guilty to insider trading in 2024 and was fined $5 million by a New York judge. He received three years of probation but no prison sentence. The pardon reportedly took into account his age and the fact that he did not personally profit from the scheme.

The pardon clears the way for Lewis to travel to the United States for the first time since his conviction, allowing him to seek medical care and visit his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. “I am pleased all of this is now behind me, and I can enjoy retirement and watch as my family and extended family continue to build our businesses based on the quality and pursuit of excellence that has become our trademark,” Lewis said in a statement.

Lewis has had limited involvement with Tottenham since 2022, when he transferred majority ownership of the club to his family through a trust. His pardon adds to a growing list of wealthy individuals convicted of financial crimes who have received clemency from Trump during his second term.
