 “We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence.  Uchechi Kanu Blasts Associates for Announcing her Husband’s Transfer to Sokoto Prison on Social Media


Uchechigeme Anyanwuụtụtu Okwu-Kanu, wife of detained Biafra agitator Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed strong displeasure over the manner in which news of her husband’s transfer to the Sokoto correctional facility was released to the public.


In a post shared on her verified social media page, Uchechi stated that she received information about her husband’s arrival at the Sokoto prison only three hours earlier. She criticized those who visited him on the day of the transfer, accusing them of failing to brief her privately before “running to social media” to announce it.


She warned that such conduct was unprofessional and unacceptable, stressing that she expected more decorum from those involved.


“If you all do not sit up and behave in a civilised and professional manner, I will stress you with my ‘stress,’ and I promise you, you will be stressed,” she wrote, calling for an end to what she described as “theatrics.".
