 Man brutalises his pregnant wife in Anambra  In another case of domestic violence, a pregnant woman was brutally beaten by her husband in Ichi, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. The mother of three identified as Chinelo Francis, from Ebonyi State, said trouble began when she requested money from her husband, Peter, to prepare food.  According to the young woman, she had already bought vegetable with the profit she made from her shop. Peter, also from Ebonyi, claimed he didn’t make money that day and took the children home.  He returned to her shop at around 8:00 PM and insisted she close up and come home with him.  She refused, explaining that the time was when she typically made most of her sales.  Later, she closed up her shop, went home at 9:30 PM, prepared the children for bed, and retired.  Blake Lively seeks $161 million in damages in lawsuit against Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively is seeking $161 million in damages, claiming she suffered massive financial losses due to Justin Baldoni’s alleged smear campaign.

Court filings state that Lively lost $56.2 million in earnings from acting, producing, speaking engagements, and endorsements. Her lawyers also say her haircare brand, Blake Brown, suffered $49 million in losses, while her beverage company, Betty Buzz/Betty Booze, lost $22 million. Additionally, they claim her reputation took a $34 million hit after 65 million negative social media impressions circulated about her.

Lively and Baldoni are scheduled to face trial in March after she sued him, alleging sexual harassment on the set of their 2024 film It Ends With Us and a subsequent campaign of online smears. Baldoni had countersued, claiming $400 million in damages for defamation, but that claim was dismissed in June when a judge ruled he could not sue over statements made in a legal filing.
