 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  VP Shettima Arrives Bauchi To Attend Funeral of Late Sheikhh Dahiru Usman Bauchi


Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Bauchi, leading the Federal Government delegation to the funeral of the late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, one of the country’s most revered Islamic scholars whose lifelong devotion to knowledge and spiritual guidance shaped generations across Nigeria and beyond.


He departed Abuja earlier today at the behest of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and is accompanied by a strong delegation that includes the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi; Senators Abdulaziz Yari and Shehu Buba; along with senior presidential aides, Special Adviser to the President, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar; Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, amongst others.


The Vice President will also condole with the bereaved family, the Tijjaniyya movement, and the wider Muslim community, and pray for God’s mercy upon Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s soul and for comfort for all who mourn him.
