 ANAMBRA SHMB WARNS HEALTH INFORMATION OFFICERS OVER LATE REPORTS, REITERATES 7TH-DAY DEADLINE By Ebele Egoh The Anambra State Hospital Management Board (SHMB) has urged Health Information Management Officers to ensure accurate medical records, timely data submission and strict protection of patients’ confidential information to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. The Director of Medical Support Services of the Board, Mrs Nneka Uzor, gave the call during a meeting and training session for health information personnel held on Oct. 9 at the SHMB conference hall. Mrs Uzor stressed that maintaining complete medical records and safeguarding patients’ information are essential professional responsibilities, cautioning  the officers against disclosing sensitive health information to unauthorised persons and urged them to uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.  WHO Warns of Surging Mpox Spread Across Africa and Beyond


The World Health Organisation (WHO) has issued a strong warning about the escalating transmission of mpox, with 17 African nations reporting active cases over the past six weeks. 


WHO in a statement said from September 14 to October 19, the agency documented 2,862 confirmed infections and 17 deaths.


Formerly known as monkeypox, the virus has now emerged for the first time in Malaysia, Namibia, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain, marking its expanding footprint outside Africa.


In its latest assessment, the WHO calls for intensified monitoring, broader vaccine distribution, and robust infection prevention measures to halt the virus's entrenchment. 


As mpox advances quietly yet persistently, international leaders face a critical juncture: effective containment demands a swift, unified response.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
