 LAWMA SEALS PREMISES ON AGO PALACE WAY, ARRESTS 11 DUMPERS ON LAGOS ISLAND … Intensifies Enforcement Against Illegal Waste Disposal In renewed enforcement efforts, the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has sealed premises identified for persistent illegal waste dumping along Ago Palace Way and arrested 11 persons for illegal waste disposal in various parts of Lagos Island. The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, said that the enforcement operations underscored the Authority’s resolve to enforce existing waste management regulations and ensure compliance with approved waste disposal practices across Lagos. He explained that the Ago Palace Way operation covered plazas, hotels, lounges and warehouses along the corridor, as part of efforts to tackle activities contributing to waste build-up and environmental nuisance on road setbacks, medians and other unauthorised public spaces.  YouTuber Jack Doherty arrested in Miami on drug charges

YouTube creator Jack Doherty was arrested Saturday in Miami, Florida, on drug-related charges, according to the Miami Beach Police Department.

Authorities said the 22-year-old blocked traffic on Washington Avenue around 3:12 a.m. while filming content, creating a “dangerous situation.” Police say Doherty refused orders to leave the roadway, reportedly shouting, “once I’m done with this bet,” before being taken into custody.

He faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence. Arrest records indicate he was found with amphetamine.

Doherty, known for prank and stunt videos, has over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, more than 10 million followers on TikTok, and over 3 million followers on Instagram. Earlier Saturday, he posted videos on a yacht in Miami and livestreamed his night on the app Parti.

His bond was set at $3,500, and it is unclear if he has secured legal representation.
