 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  YouTuber Jack Doherty arrested in Miami on drug charges

YouTube creator Jack Doherty was arrested Saturday in Miami, Florida, on drug-related charges, according to the Miami Beach Police Department.

Authorities said the 22-year-old blocked traffic on Washington Avenue around 3:12 a.m. while filming content, creating a “dangerous situation.” Police say Doherty refused orders to leave the roadway, reportedly shouting, “once I’m done with this bet,” before being taken into custody.

He faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence. Arrest records indicate he was found with amphetamine.

Doherty, known for prank and stunt videos, has over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, more than 10 million followers on TikTok, and over 3 million followers on Instagram. Earlier Saturday, he posted videos on a yacht in Miami and livestreamed his night on the app Parti.

His bond was set at $3,500, and it is unclear if he has secured legal representation.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
