 A 19-year-old Texas man survived a lightning strike while fishing with his mother the day before Mothers Day. Hunter Wyche proclaimed himself the "unluckiest lucky man" after he was struck by lightning on Saturday, May 10th. Hunter had taken his mother fishing along the Angelina River and was expecting a relaxing day catching up with his mom and maybe catching a few fish. However, while Hunter leaned against a tree, lightning struck, throwing him several feet and leaving him unconscious and wounded. Hunter blacked out during the ordeal and awoke to his mother and a crowd of people around him. As Hunter regained consciousness, he couldn't move his right foot and could barely move his leg. He believes the strike went through his stomach down his right leg and back out through the top of his foot.  The strike also caused wood to explode everywhere, leaving him with wood shrapnel embedded in his skin and face. 16 GOATS AND 13 SHEEP STOLEN AT MATSHELAPATA VILLAGE. (PHOTO).


 16 goats and 13 sheep stolen at Matshelapata village


 Police in Motetema, under Sekhukhune District, have opened a stock-theft case following the disappearance of 16 goats and 13 sheep at Tafelkop, Matshelapata village.


 The incident is reported to have occurred on Monday, 08 December 2025, at around 22:00.


 According to reports, the livestock owner locked the kraal before going to sleep.


 The following morning, he found the kraal gate wide open and the padlock damaged.


 Further inspection revealed that the goats and sheep, marked with orange ear tags and in various colours, were missing.


 The elderly owner searched the surrounding areas but could not trace the animals.


 He then reported the matter to the local police.


 The stolen livestock is estimated to be worth R46 000,00.


 A manhunt for the suspects is underway, and anyone with information is urged to contact Investigating Officer Captain Samuel Mohlala on 082 414 6464.
