 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down.  ₦355,000 CHRISTMAS CONTRIBUTION SCAM ROCKS ZAKI-BIAM WEEKLY GROUP

The public has been alerted to an alleged breach of trust involving a weekly contribution group operating at Y-Junction, Zaki-Biam, Benue State.


The group, which meets at a palm wine joint opposite Emmalex Filling Station near the Union Office, reportedly pooled funds for Christmas welfare packages. Each member contributed ₦30,000 to provide fowls, palm oil and rice for all participants.


While palm oil and rice were successfully purchased and shared, the fowls were never delivered.


According to the group, a man identified as Terna Orga, said to be from Konshisha Local Government Area, was on Tuesday entrusted with ₦355,000 to procure the remaining fowls. Since collecting the money, he has allegedly disappeared, stopped answering calls, and his whereabouts remain unknown.


The development left many members unable to celebrate Christmas as planned, having been denied the fowls meant for the festive season.


The group has appealed to members of the public with useful information on Terna Orga’s whereabouts to prevail on him to return the money or contact the group immediately to resolve the matter amicably. They warned that failure to do so may compel them to report the incident to the relevant authorities for further action.
