 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  ₦355,000 CHRISTMAS CONTRIBUTION SCAM ROCKS ZAKI-BIAM WEEKLY GROUP

The public has been alerted to an alleged breach of trust involving a weekly contribution group operating at Y-Junction, Zaki-Biam, Benue State.


The group, which meets at a palm wine joint opposite Emmalex Filling Station near the Union Office, reportedly pooled funds for Christmas welfare packages. Each member contributed ₦30,000 to provide fowls, palm oil and rice for all participants.


While palm oil and rice were successfully purchased and shared, the fowls were never delivered.


According to the group, a man identified as Terna Orga, said to be from Konshisha Local Government Area, was on Tuesday entrusted with ₦355,000 to procure the remaining fowls. Since collecting the money, he has allegedly disappeared, stopped answering calls, and his whereabouts remain unknown.


The development left many members unable to celebrate Christmas as planned, having been denied the fowls meant for the festive season.


The group has appealed to members of the public with useful information on Terna Orga’s whereabouts to prevail on him to return the money or contact the group immediately to resolve the matter amicably. They warned that failure to do so may compel them to report the incident to the relevant authorities for further action.
