 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  ₦355,000 CHRISTMAS CONTRIBUTION SCAM ROCKS ZAKI-BIAM WEEKLY GROUP

The public has been alerted to an alleged breach of trust involving a weekly contribution group operating at Y-Junction, Zaki-Biam, Benue State.


The group, which meets at a palm wine joint opposite Emmalex Filling Station near the Union Office, reportedly pooled funds for Christmas welfare packages. Each member contributed ₦30,000 to provide fowls, palm oil and rice for all participants.


While palm oil and rice were successfully purchased and shared, the fowls were never delivered.


According to the group, a man identified as Terna Orga, said to be from Konshisha Local Government Area, was on Tuesday entrusted with ₦355,000 to procure the remaining fowls. Since collecting the money, he has allegedly disappeared, stopped answering calls, and his whereabouts remain unknown.


The development left many members unable to celebrate Christmas as planned, having been denied the fowls meant for the festive season.


The group has appealed to members of the public with useful information on Terna Orga’s whereabouts to prevail on him to return the money or contact the group immediately to resolve the matter amicably. They warned that failure to do so may compel them to report the incident to the relevant authorities for further action.
