 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. 40-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED IN LEPHALALE FOR ALLEGED DRUG DEALING. (PHOTOS).


 40-Year-Old Arrested in Lephalale for Alleged Drug Dealing


A 40-year-old foreign national is expected to appear in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 1 December 2025, on charges of dealing in drugs.


The suspect was arrested during an intelligence-driven operation carried out by members of the Organised Crime Investigation and Narcotics Unit.


According to police, on Friday, 28 November 2025 at around 07:30, officers received information about a man suspected of selling drugs in the Lephalale area. The information was followed up, and during observation, police noticed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car.


When the driver spotted the police, he allegedly sped off. Officers gave chase and managed to stop the vehicle. A search was conducted, and police recovered a plastic bag containing substances believed to be heroin and crystal meth, with an estimated street value of more than R15 000.


The suspect was arrested on the scene. He is scheduled to appear before the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face charges of dealing in drugs.
