Abusing Tinubu is not a career – Joe Igbokwe taunts Sowore A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has mocked activist and presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, who on Monday, June 22, was remanded in Kuje prison by an Abuja High Court over his alleged refusal to appear in court in the ongoing trial regarding a remark he made on his social media handles about President Bola Tinubu. Reacting to the remand order, Igbokwe expressed support for the judgment, stating that abusing Tinubu “is not a career.” “Nigeria is not a lawless country. Sowore has taken the law into his hands for years now. Protests on the streets, disturbing public peace, abusing law enforcement officers, encouraging killers in the South East, abusing PBAT, these are not a career.”

A 54-year-old California man did the ultimate Dad move, clinging to life until the second his son was safe.

This story is truly heartbreaking and shows the depth of love some fathers have, as he disregarded his own safety and ultimately his own life, to ensure his son was okay.

When officers arrived on the scene after hearing reports of screams and someone distressed on the water, they witnessed the heroic strength that comes with love.

As first responders rushed to render aid, they spotted a young child clinging to a partially submerged adult. The child was clearly in distress and being kept from slipping under by his father's last reserves.

This tragic incident occurred at Lake Perris State Recreation Area near Moreno Beach. Officers received the distress call a little after 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th.

According to reports, the father and son duo had been enjoying a pleasant Saturday, Kayaking on the lake. Suddenly, their kayak capsized, sending both into the water.

Neither father nor son was wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident. The father did the only thing he could. He used every last bit of his strength to keep his son above water.

When first responders arrived, they quickly pulled the pair from the water.  The father was unconscious when he was pulled from the lake. Authorities worked relentlessly to try to resuscitate the man. They administered CPR for roughly 45 minutes.

The father and son were rushed to Riverside University Health system, where the father was pronounced deceased. The 7-year-old boy is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators are calling the father a hero for his life-saving efforts despite in the face of his own demise.

Our thoughts are with this young boy who is now going to grow up without his dad who obviously loved him more than life itself.
