 Somali PM calls on Somaliland to cut Israel ties, urges reconciliation Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has called on Somaliland’s leadership to cut ties with Israel and to resolve disputes with the federal government through dialogue. Barre said relations among Somalis should be addressed through talks rather than confrontation, in remarks during a ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of North East State. In December 2025, Israel announced mutual recognition with Somaliland, a move strongly rejected by the Somali government as a breach of its sovereignty and territorial integrity and criticised by many countries across the world. “Regarding our brothers in Somaliland, I have nothing new to say. A NAVY VET ON HIS WAY TO FRIENDS FOR CHRISTMAS EVE WAS FOUND DEAD INSIDE OF HIS CAR ON CHRISTMAS DAY.(PHOTO).

 A Navy vet on his way to friends for Christmas Eve was found deceased inside of his car on Christmas day.


68-year-old Robert Hiller climbed into his blue Toyota Yaris on Christmas Eve, excited to meet up with friends. When he failed to show up that evening and his family had still not heard from him on Christmas Day, a missing persons report was filed.


Sadly, air rescue crews would spot his vehicle partially submerged at 9:45 a.m. on Christmas Day. Robert was pronounced deceased on the scene.


Robert was swept away, along with his vehicle, while on his way to meet with his friends. According to a witness who was driving behind Robert, he had tried to warn him.


Tim Swain says, "I see the waters, and I see him driving into it, and I'm flashing my headlights and high beams, like, No!"


Swain was forced to helplessly watch as Robert was swept away by the raging floodwaters. He said he got out of his car to try to locate Robert but unfortunately he could not find him.
