 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Anambra billionaire Kenneth Ifekudu honoured with a chieftaincy title in  Ebonyi State for his humanitarian contributions


Anambra-born businessman, billionaire philanthropist, and CEO of Diamond Leeds Ltd, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu) OFR, has added another chieftaincy title to his illustrious portfolio, this time in Ebonyi State, reflecting his influence beyond his home state.


He was bestowed with the traditional title of Ife Abata (Light Has Come) by the Ezeudo II of Amike Autonomous Community, Ezzangbo, Ohaukwu Local Government Area, His Royal Highness, Eze Sir Michael Nwankwo JP.


The honour was in recognition of Ifekudu’s contributions to the development of Amike community and society at large, particularly his efforts in providing roads and other critical infrastructure.


Renowned for his philanthropy in Ozubulu, Anambra State, and beyond, Ifekudu recently empowered over 100 individuals with mini trucks to support livelihoods amid growing economic challenges. This latest title adds to his earlier honour, Ife Ozubulu (The Light of Ozubulu), conferred by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Fidelis Oruche, Obi Ozubulu, earlier this year.


In addition to leading Diamond Leeds Ltd, Ifekudu is Chairman of Gorrion Engineering Ltd and was recently named Businessman of the Year by the Sun Newspaper. He is widely praised for ensuring that his community members are the first beneficiaries of his charitable initiatives.
