 MISSING KANSHIO LADY REAPPEARS, FAMILY RAISES ALARM OVER CONFLICTING STORIES  11th January, 2026      The family of a young woman earlier reported missing in Kanshio, Makurdi, Benue State, has raised fresh concerns after she contacted them to say she was not missing and had travelled to Port Harcourt for work. A family source told Benue Info-pedia, that the woman reached out a day after alerts about her disappearance circulated on social media, urging relatives to stop searching for her and to discontinue further posts about the matter. However, the explanation has triggered suspicion within the family, following what they described as inconsistent details surrounding her movements. According to the source, the woman had travelled to Gboko during the Christmas period to stay with her elder sister, where she reportedly met a man and began interacting with him.  ANAMBRA POLICE HIGHLIGHTS OF 2025 CHRISTMAS CAROL AND END-OF-YEAR PARTY


The Anambra State Police Command successfully hosted its 2025 Christmas Carol and End-of-Year Party on 23rd December 2025 at Vertex View hotel hall Nibo, Awka bringing together officers, stakeholders, and guests in an atmosphere of celebration, reflection, and appreciation.


The event featured the commendation of outstanding officers of the Command for their dedication, professionalism, and gallantry in crime fighting, as well as the recognition of key stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation with the Police.


Notably, the Commander, Special Anti-Cult Squad, Enugu-Ukwu, CSP Ayuba Ahmadu, was recognized by the Command as the Best Crime Fighter of the Year. He also received wider recognition at the national level by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) for his exceptional contributions to crime control in the student environment. 


Also recognized was Hon Ken Emeakayi, the Commander of the Agụnachmba Vigilante Group, for outstanding collaboration and support in maintaining security across the state.

Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme the majority leader of Anambra State House of Assembly was honoured as the Best Supportive Stakeholder, while Bishop Onyeka Joseph Nzekwesi (MD/Chief Executive Director Pineleaf Estate, Hon. Ambrose Obinna Onuzulike and many others received an award for selfless service and consistent support to the Police.


Furthermore, the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, was recognized by the Senate Arm of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) as the Best Student Friendly Police Public Relations Officer, in appreciation of his professionalism and effective police–public engagement.


The Police Command reaffirms its commitment to improved security, professionalism, and sustained partnership with stakeholders, while pledging to intensify efforts toward ensuring the safety of lives and property across Anambra State in the coming year.
