 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  Angela Okorie says she turns down events despite the money because “not all invites are safe”


Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has shared a stern message on social media, cautioning people to be careful about the events and spaces they accept invitations to.


According to the actress, not every invite comes from a good place, as some are allegedly set up to harm, destroy, or spiritually attack unsuspecting guests. She stressed the importance of prayer and discernment, saying only God can reveal people’s true intentions.


Angela explained that her absence from certain events is deliberate, noting that some people may not genuinely like her but still want her presence because she “brings life to the party.” She added that no amount of appearance fee can convince her to attend places her spirit warns her against.


She also hinted at past experiences where she believes serious harm was intended, saying only her strength and faith kept her safe. Referencing recent controversial cases in the public space, the actress warned that danger often hides behind friendly invitations.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
