Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup.  Christian Leaders Hails Gov. Uba Sani For Promoting Peace, Unity In Kaduna

Christian leaders across different denominations have praised Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna state, for promoting peace, fairness, and interfaith harmony in the state.

The commendation was given during the Kaduna Unity Christmas Carol organised by the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in partnership with the Kaduna government on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Ademola Tinuoye, chairman of the Pentecostal Bishops’ Forum, said the governor has lived up to the promises he made when he assumed office.

He said Sani’s commitment to fairness has helped prevent crises in the state, adding that his policies on equity, inclusiveness, and justice have ensured that no group is sidelined.

Amos Kiri, president of the United Church of Christ, also applauded the governor for attending the programme with members of his cabinet, describing the gesture as a sign of love and peaceful leadership.

Kiri noted that it was rare for Christians in Kaduna to see a sitting governor attend a Christian event of such nature. He also praised the presence of people from other faiths, which turned the carol into an interfaith celebration.

According to him, continued commitment to unity will keep Kaduna peaceful and contribute to Nigeria’s progress.

Tunde Bolanta, apostolic overseer of Restoration Ministries Worldwide, said the Christmas season represents unity and bridge-building, qualities he said the governor has demonstrated.

He added that Sani’s leadership is restoring the spirit of harmony between Muslims and Christians that existed in Kaduna in earlier decades, describing him as a governor for all who is executing projects across the state.
