A PRIEST IN ANAMBRA STATE WEDDED A COUPLE YESTERDAY, DESPITE DISPUTES WITH THE BRIDE’S FATHER. (PHOTOS).

The entire family of Comprehensive Medical Centre Awkuzu (CMC) has celebrated its 2025 end of year with send forth ceremony and presentation of gifts to promoted matrons and ex corpers
The event which was held at the hospital's open hall was well attended by the entire CMC Awkuzu Family.
In her opening remarks, the Chief Medical Director(CMD) of the hospital, Dr Adaobi Odina thanked the Staff for their efforts and dedication throughout year.
Expressing her gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout the year 2025, she noted that the end of year ceremony was also an opportunity to honour the former head matron that was recently appointed as head of the nursing unit of the state hospital management board with her second who was also transferred to the hospital board as well as to say a very big thank you to three ex corp members that served in the hospital.
Dr Odina praying for God's grace and divine wisdom upon them, charged them to showcase the light of CMC in their new positions and places of work.
Admonishing, the entire work force of Comprehensive Medical Centre Awkuzu, the CMD, noted that the celebration was a way of appreciating the commitment and dedication of the entire staff.
Earlier on during the CMC house fellowship, the officiating priest, Pastor Paul Ajero of the Redeemed Christian Church of Christ, emphasized on the importance of ending well.
Speaking on the topic, "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof", charged the members to always endeavour to end well whatever they began, pointing out the need for one to examine how the journey of 2025 has been and make amends at any junction that needs correction.
The new head of nursing unit of the state hospital management board, DDL Uche Eze, thanking the management and staff of Comprehensive Medical Centre Awkuzu, for finding her worthy to be sent forth in a special way, called on all to be lifting her to God in their daily prayers.
The new Matron of the hospital, Appolonia Meze admonishing the ex corp members, prayed God to make the labour market favorable to them.
The event, which featured prayers, thanksgiving, refreshment, presentation of gifts to the two transferred matrons and three passed out corp members also saw each staff member going home with a bag of rice courtesy of the CMC Awkuzu Management Board.
