 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.  EFCC Arrests Man For Possession Of Counterfeit Notes


The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is investigating Abubakar Salihu who was arrested while in possession of 305 pieces of $100 bills suspected to be counterfeit. Salihu was arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Patrol Team on Kaduna-Abuja Express Way on 4th December, 2025, and was handed over to the EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Directorate, on the 5th December, 2025 for further investigation.
