 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. FOREIGN NATIONAL ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION AND DEALING IN DRUGS AT SAVANNA MALL. (PHOTO).

 Foreign national arrested for possession and dealing in drugs at Savanna Mall


 Members of the Public Order Policing Unit in Polokwane arrested a 35-year-old male foreign national for possession and dealing in drugs at Savanna Mall on Tuesday, 09 December 2025.


 The arrest formed part of SAPS festive-season operations focusing on dismantling gangs and disrupting drug trafficking.


 Police acted on a tip-off about individuals allegedly selling drugs around one of the malls in Polokwane.


 Upon arrival, officers identified a suspect matching the description given.


 The suspect was found with a plastic bag containing drugs and attempted to flee towards his white Ford Fiesta with Gauteng registration plates.


 During the escape, he collided with a delivery bakkie belonging to a nearby shop and attempted to flee on foot.


 Police chased and quickly apprehended him.


 A search was conducted at his residence in Taurus Avenue, Sterpark, where Nyaope drugs were also recovered.


 Police confiscated Nyaope, crystal meth, and heroin.


 The suspect is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 11 December 2025, facing charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
