 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. Former Los Angeles Laker and NBA champion Elden Campbell dies at 57

Elden Campbell, a former Los Angeles Lakers center and key player during the 1990s, has died at the age of 57. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Standing 6-foot-11, Campbell spent 15 seasons in the NBA, with the majority of his career in Los Angeles after being drafted by the Lakers in the first round of the 1990 draft. During his time in L.A., he played alongside legends Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant and became a dependable contributor, averaging nearly 15 points per game in the 1996-97 season.

Campbell was traded to the Charlotte Hornets in 1999, where he continued to put up strong numbers. Later in his career, he won an NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons in 2004, ironically defeating his former team, the Lakers, in the Finals. He also played for the New Orleans Hornets, Seattle SuperSonics, and New Jersey Nets before retiring from professional basketball.
